Founded in 1913, the United States Soccer Federation will be celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year. This memorable occasion will come with a special Centennial Jersey design by Nike, which draws inspiration on one of the most iconic moments of American soccer.



The simplicity of this retro white jersey from Nike will be accentuated with thick cuffs and a V-Neck in blue as the main elements for the new design. However, the greatest change becomes the classic badge featuring an old-school ¡°stars and stripes¡± look, which will replace the regular US Soccer badge now present on the inside of the collar.



With a total of thirteen stars and thirteen stripes, the badge is also a nod to the year of foundation for the USSF. This is replicated with the small vent details on the right and left hem, while other typical high-tech features of Nike jerseys, such as the laser-cut ventilation holes complement a shirt that is retro in spirit but very modern in its execution.

The clean and sharp look is actually a revival of the first ever USA jersey. In 1916, three years after being founded, the first ever USA team visited Sweden in Stockholm. This design is inspired by the uniform worn in that game, where the Americans defeated their hosts 3-2.
